The Nintendo DS is arguably the most popular and widespread handheld videogame system available in the market today. Even with the iPhone’s features and functionalities making it a highly capable handheld game system, the popularity of the iPhone as a game system pales in comparison to the Nintendo DS.

Despite the popularity of the Nintendo DS, it is still tremendously expensive to play and purchase games on the Nintendo DS. New games for the Nintendo DS range in price from as little as $20 to as much as $50. There are many consumers want to try and play all the games that the Nintendo DS has to offer but they may not have the money available to purchase these games.

It is quite possible to download games for the Nintendo DS for free. Doing so, however, requires a bit of an initial investment. Before you can download NDS games, you must first purchase a boot cartridge and a Micro SD memory chip. For the boot cartridge, it is recommended that you purchase the R4 chip and for the Micro SD memory chip, any brand will work but you should choose a very fast memory chip. Both of these together will cost you approximately $80 to purchase. However, once make this initial investment; you can download NDS games to your heart’s content.
